Shotgun House


Making their first appearance at the Capel Music Festival Pre-Event on Saturday 14th August are London band Shotgun House.

Best described as "Janis Joplin fronting Cream in Ray Charles' Kitchen", the 'House deliver new blues with a potent mix of rock and funk. The band is led by powerhouse vocalist Dominique Olliver, with Keith Bayley on guitar and the driving rhythm engine of Alun Harries and Stu Wilkinson.

Gems by Koko Taylor, Nina Simone, Jonny Copeland, Esther Philiips, Ray Charles, Albert King, Cream and Etta James among others are given the Shotgun House treatment - new blues with a twist of rock, funk and passion.
